Building confident communicators for life

Public speaking is one of the most important life skills a child can develop — yet many children grow up afraid to speak, present ideas, or express themselves confidently in front of others. Contrary to popular belief — these skills are not something that some kids have naturally and others don’t. They are typically built step by step.

Public speaking helps children become clear, confident communicators through live speaking, storytelling, debate, games, improvisation, and structured feedback.

Rather than memorising speeches, students learn how to think on their feet, organise ideas, communicate persuasively, and speak with confidence under pressure.

Every session is active, participatory, and designed to ensure every child speaks, contributes, and grows.

LEVEL 1 (Age 8 - 10)

Students build confidence step-by-step through storytelling, improvisation games, voice exercises, body language activities, and short speaking challenges.

The course deliberately begins with movement, expression, and speaking in pairs or teams before gradually building towards individual presentations.

Every session removes one layer of fear while building one layer of communication skill.

The term culminates in a Mini TED Stage, where each child delivers a 2-minute talk on something they genuinely care about.

Students learn to persuade, defend ideas, and speak under pressure.

Students learn how to organise ideas clearly, think critically, respond under pressure, and defend positions using evidence and reasoning.

Sessions include debates, impromptu speaking rounds, rebuttal drills, persuasive speaking exercises, and live audience challenges.

The term ends with a Grand Debate Championship — a formal Oxford-style debate judged by a panel.

LEVEL 2 (Age 11 - 13)
